The Cougars got their first conference titles of the 2018-19 year by doubling their pleasure on the track, sweeping the AAC men's and women's Indoor Track championships! We reflect on the program's dominance across both genders, and take a peek forward to what might be in store at Nationals.

And of course we're breaking down the latest on your top-10 Cougar men's hoops squad, as they smothered USF behind a strong performance from Deeky Jarreau. There's only 2 weeks left of the regular season (!!) and there's a rematch with UCF coming this weekend.

Plus baseball won a series against a top 25 team! Softball went 6-0 and threw a no-hitter! And both genders are doing good golf things!

Oooooooo weee folks we went a bit long on this one. The guys have hit the sweet spot of winter sports getting to critical games and spring sports beginning that we have a whole bunch to talk about!

Men's Hoops got a couple road wins and look ahead to a re-match with the league's most surprising team: the USF Bulls. And to get help previewing the Bulls we bring on The Daily Stampede founder Collin Sherwin. 

Baseball began their 2019 season and after a 2-1 weekend against Northwestern State, there's no shortage of exciting moments and things to discuss. Softball hosted their 2nd weekend invitational and once again kept things interesting. Women's hoops won their 4th straight at home and now face a week with 2 big, winnable games. Both men's and women's golf get off to promising spring season starts AND tennis returns to a challenging non-conference slate.

Your Houston Cougar men's basketball team faced the 2nd and 3rd-best teams in the AAC and beat 'em both, one in Orlando, one is a raucous Fertitta Center, and the end result is a 23-1 record, and a #9 ranking in both major polls. We're talking big wins, breaking down a pair of road games this coming week, and admitting it's hard not to look ahead with the schedule set up the way it is.

To celebrate, we spoke to recent UH alum (and current Nationals farmhand) Aaron Fletcher about his Cougar career, adjusting to life as a pro, and his take on the 2019 pitching staff. We also ran down the laundry list of potential offensive impact players, including the program's leading career HR hitter, and one of the nation's best 3Bman.
