And like that, Houston's dream season is over. We're back, recording from Kansas City to reflect on the loss to Kentucky that ended the Cougars' season, but also to look back on the phenomenal year we just witnessed, and to appreciate the incredible Cougar careers of this year's senior class. We also took a peek forward to next year, in terms of the on-court talent returning, as well as Kelvin Sampson's future with the program.

YOUR HOUSTON COUGARS HAVE MADE IT TO THE SWEET 16 FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 35 YEARS!!! Why bury the lede? We talk an incredible weekend in Tulsa that saw the Cougars handle their latest opponent(Ohio State) by double digits and we look ahead to the bluest of the blue bloods (pun sorta intended) in the Kentucky Wildcats.
The shooty hoops talk wasn't just limited to the men, as we talk about a heartbreaking and encouraging end to the women's team season in Arkansas. And we also hit: softball, baseball, track & field, tennis and mens/womens golf! (in that particular order).

We breathlessly recap Houston's dominant tournament-opening performance against the Panthers of Georgia State, and look forward to Houston's surprise 2nd-round opponent: the Ohio State Buckeyes. We're breaking down everything that went right on Friday, and everything that will need to go right on Sunday for the Cougars to keep dancing.

BA DA DA DAAA DUHH DAAAAA DA DUUUUUUHHHHHHH!
The Cougars officially punched a dance ticket that was unofficially punched for months. We delve into who are our first round opponents: the Georgia State Panthers and the potential 2nd round opponents (including one that Dustin knows quite well). We also re-live the last week that was at the conference tournament in Memphis.
Did we stop with Cougar basketball? HECK NO! We talk about a massive road non-conference series win from Cougar baseball over Dallas Baptist and preview the conference opening series with UConn. And while we're in a bat/ball sports kind of mood, we also discussed Cougar softball's upcoming double-header at Baylor and their conference opener with Wichita State.

This week's episode is brought to you by the number 2! It's the number of regular season losses for your Cougar men's basketball program, which finished 29-2 to win its first outright conference title since the Phi Slama Jama days. And #2 is also where Cougar men's track placed at NCAA Indoor National Championships, taking the team silver medal while winning a national title in the 4x400 relay! Suffice it to say, this was a huge week for Cougar athletics!
And that's not even mentioning that the Coog baseball team picked up a much-needed series sweep, softball had its last non-conference weekend of the year, women's hoops closed its season at the AAC tourney, and golf & tennis were in action as well!
