IT'S FINALLY GAME WEEK!! This episode may contain one or more instances of your hosts breaking down and squealing out of sheer excitement. We did hold it together long enough to interview Kegan Reneau of Sooners Wire to get the scoop on the 2019 Sooners, and the gameday experience in Norman.
Plus we had 4-year Cougar football standout David Hunter on the podcast to talk about the good old days, give his take on the current crop of Cougars, and more!
Not to mention that soccer played a pair of actual regular season games this past week, and volleyball took on Rice in an exhibition.

We're opening up this week's episode with our interview with one of the greatest running backs in Cougar history, Bryce Beall! He told us about his experience playing for Dana Holgorsen, about making that catch up at Oklahoma State, and about the time that Case Keenum got angry enough to use curse words.
We also had the next part in our football season preview series, as we take a deep dive on the Cougar offense. We're looking at how that beautiful marriage of D'Eriq King and Dana Holgorsen could play out, with contributions from a crazy deep core of skill players, and an offensive line that should be Houston's best in years.
We also recapped the end of men's basketball's undefeated trip to Italy, and previewed the first actual games of the 2019-20 athletics year, with Cougar soccer kicking off this week!

It's less than 3 weeks until Cougar football, which means it's time to preview the UH defense and special teams. How much can the Coogs improve upon a woeful run defense from the end of last season? Can new DC Joe Cauthen lead a defense that creates more havoc? We went position-by-position to find answers (or at least wild speculation) to these questions.
We also have actual Cougar (exhibition) results to mull over, as the men's basketball team knocked off an Italian team and a Lithuanian team to begin it's tour of Italy, and the soccer team crushed Houston Baptist 3-0 in their exhibition. Plus Amere Lattin won a silver medal in the Pan-American games!

Oh hey we're back for our 2nd (!!!) episode of the week to open our 5th season.
We take a look back at our 'bold predictions' from the 2018-19 season and see which one of us was better than a coin flip. In addition, we look ahead and make some bold predictions for every UH Cougar team for the 2019-20 season.
Cougar men's basketball also gets a (literally) BIG commitment from Kiyron Powell of Evansville, IN and we talk about Powell plus the long-term roster make up for the coming seasons.
LAST (but not least) we discuss Cougar track alums and current athletes participating at the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru!

We're back! The Universe's only Houston Cougar sports podcast has survived an offseason and we're kicking off our 5th season with a bang!
We talked with UH Director of Athletics/VP of Intercollegiate Athletics Chris Pezman about how he got here and his vision for Cougar athletics.
There was also the final of the 1st annual Tournament of College Athletics trivia between Ryan of GoCoogs.com and Clayton of Down the Drive, which was as masterfully played as you could possibly imagine.
But we aren't done! Cougar men's basketball had an open scrimmage which we discussed, along with the newly-announced non conference schedule. And oh by the way Cougar football got a 5 star defensive transfer!!!!
