All it took was an over 7,000 mile round trip to the Hawaiian island of Oahu for Houston Cougar men's basketball to get the signature win/moment they desperately needed to close out non-conference play. The guys go in depth on the 3 wins from the Cougars' capture of the Diamond Head Classic championship.
On the subject of basketball, with the looming start of AAC play we look at our pre-season tiers and take an individual look at the 11 other schools ostensibly vying for the AAC crown. Plus, Cougar women's basketball closes out athletics in the 2010s with 2 games at the Empire Classic in the Bronx.
Finally, we take a look back at the high points of the 2010s and Houston Cougar athletics, what we've seen and where we hope Cougar athletics can be in the coming decade.

No football, no problem, we had a very exciting week that saw the men's basketball team find its footing, behind a plethora of Chris Harris blocks, Quentin Grimes points, and so many rebounds. Plus, why UH may be catching its next two opponents at the right time.
Plus, TRACK SEASON IS UPON US!! The much-awaited return of Houston Cougar Track & Field began this weekend in Aggieland, with the Cougars looking strongest in the field events for a change of pace. (The track athletes did well, too.) We've got first-hand observations from College Station we're dying to share with you.
Women's hoops also has a big game coming up, and despite me saying "no football" right up top, of course we talked football, there's roster moves and AAC coaching news to discuss.

On the bright side, there were some nice things on display from Houston in the season finale, we highlighted the individuals who stood out in a tough season, and the next time we watch the Coogs, Eyabi Anoma and friends will be on the field.
Plus, Volleyball's season continues in the NIVC! And Track & Field opens its season this week! And both men's & women's hoops have 2 big games coming up! And a key player is no longer on a roster! The #content was plentiul in this one.
