The boys are back, the boys are back for a 9th season and officially the boys now can be taken to mean Dustin, Sam and officially minted co-host Bobby.

On this season debut all of these fine topics were discussed on this Wednesday evening:

  • The addition of the University of Colorado to the Big 12 Conference
  • Where does conference realignment go next, who are the most likely schools to join the Big 12, and what this means for college sports at large (spoiler: not great stuff!)
  • And of course the main topic: bold prediction(s) by sport for the 2023-24 UH athletics season and of course for all Cougar programs.
Jul 26, 2023

The boys had the pleasure of welcoming on Houston Cougar volleyball head coach David Rehr to talk about the exciting past, present, and future of that program.

Additionally, the '23 edition of Summer Pawd Talks concluded with 1st time K State guest and Ten12 network pal Scott of Boscoe's Boys and return guest (and other Ten12 network pal) Andy from the Rock Chalk Pod talked all things Kansas Jayhawks.

Well, there's some good news, and there's some bad news. On the plus side, Cougar baseball had its best weekend performance in years, beating #8 East Carolina 2 out of 3 to open conference play. In less fun news, Tramon Mark entered himself into the NBA draft and the transfer portal. We're dissecting it all, and what it means for the future of Cougar baseball and men's basketball.

Dustin and Sam returned after a wild opening week for the Houston Cougar men's basketball program, that thankfully was not wild for upset-related reasons and we talk about a spirited Northern Kentucky upset bid, Marcus Sasser injury scares and subsequent triumphs, plus a Tramon Mark performance worthy of a lifetime of UH lore in a tale of 2 halves win over Auburn. ALSO, previewing a Sweet 16 showdown with a chaotic, difficult and guard-heavy Miami Hurricanes program and what could await the Coogs in the Elite 8 if they can get past the 'Canes.

PLUS, the guys do show/tell and each bring a non-men's basketball Cougar sports team to talk about to tonight's pawd.
