I'm going to level with you, its 11:31 PM and I am having of all things, writer's block writing a show description, BUT the full compliment of pawd co-hosts had plenty to say about the following Houston Cougar topics:

• Men's Golf comes heartbreakingly close to advancing past the Baton Rouge regionals. Looking at an end of season run to be proud of and what the future looks like with one big, probable departure
• Track & Field leaves its first Big 12 Outdoor Championship with a lot of performances to be proud of and taking an early look at NCAA West Prelims
• Football adds CB JD Rhym, recently of Auburn to a position group that could use a former highly recruited talent needing a fresh start
• Women's basketball adds a couple of promising transfers, but still has some of the same questions
• Baseball's unfortunately bad conference season mercifully ends
• Softball sees its top 2 projected returning hitters enter the portal and a complete lack of an answer on who'll be leading this program in 2025

The OG hosting pairing returns this week with a veritable cavalcade of Houston Cougar topics, in season and offseason, to discuss this week and those topics were as follows:

• Women's Golf comes heartbreakingly close to a historic season, falling a literal stroke short of advancing at the Auburn Regional, though we're still bullish on the program's future under coach Lydia Gumm
• Men's basketball's 2024-25 schedule gets a major boost from an inagural NIL-boosting Las Vegas event on Thanksgiving Week
• Football has an incredibly active weekend in the transfer portal
• Women's basketball makes a splash addition from a recent national champion to their coming season's roster.
• Softball ends their 2024 season and likely with it the Kristin Vesely era
• Baseball's Big 12 series woes continue

The boys are back (the boys are back), with Cougar sports questions to answer and a healthy offering of current sports happenings on Cullen Boulevard to kick around:

• A change in leadership for the Tennis program, with a chance for UH's leadership to revitalize a program that has historically struggled to get much momentum
• Patrick Paul goes in the 2nd round of last week's NFL Draft, plus you know we have some portal movement
• The bat & ball sports certainly could have had worse weeks
• Track & Field splits a really nice weekend performance between the Penn Relays and Texas Invitational
