  • A bounce back week for men's hoops, talking a win over Colorado and previewing the final regular season week's opponents: Baylor and OK State.
  • Once again swim & dive is in a tier of their own at the Big 12 championships, discussing a 3rd straight impressive performance at the conference level
  • Track & Field's standout performances from Big 12 Indoors, including the return of recent sprinting legend Louie Hinchliffe to the program
  • Tennis Corner talks multiple Big 12 wins in the same week for the first time ever (!!!) plus previewing a challenging AZ road swing
  • Golf Corner checks back in on an impressive women's team performance in Vegas, Sam discusses his 1st college golf event experience
  • The end of the women's hoops regular season & Big 12 tournament mini lookahead
  • Checking in on the baseball & softball programs and their up & down weeks, largely playing on the road

It was a week where the pawd's technical challenges mirrored its (recently unprecedented) men's hoops challenges, but Bobby and Sam found a way to return and discuss the following topics from the Houston Cougars sports week that was:

  • The boys (separately) talk about the men's hoops team's challenging week, what went wrong, and what's fixable/not for this year's team as March looms

  • Softball has another impressive weekend, their 1st away from home of the season

  • Checking back in with women's hoops who closes the regular season with 2 winnable match-ups

Its the time of the college sports calendar for only the most jam packed episodes and the boys certainly weren't disappointed by the Houston Cougar topics on offering tonight, including the following:

  • Men's Hoops wins a decidedly not classic showdown with K State (Jerome Tang, we hardly knew ye) and loses a Big Monday classic at Iowa St with plenty of positives even in a defeat
  • Previewing a downright gargauntuan men's hoops slate, hosting #4 Arizona and traveling to Kansas and the notorious Phog Allen Fieldhouse
  • Baseball's most exciting opening weekend of results in many year and a sneaky big home opening series vs UTRGV
  • More encouraging home results from softball, with the first road trip weekend coming
  • Golf corner returns to preview the '26 spring men's golf season!
  • Tennis closes non-conference play undefeated and with very few blemishes from the 1st part of the season

Its that beautiful time of the college sports calendar where winter and spring sport seasons meet up and we're downright overflowing with Houston Cougar sports to talk about as Bobby and Sam kicked around the following topics:

  • An unbelievably dominant weeknight men's hoops win over surprise team UCF
  • Discussing Kelvin Sampson's post UCF 'poor' comments and the state of UH's NIL efforts
  • Returning to the on court action discussing a pair of on-court men's hoops wins in the state of Utah: a comprehensive win over top 25 BYU and a workmanlike win over cellar dwellar Utah (with bonus time traveling)
  • Finally, previewing men's hoops' pair of games to come: hosting woeful K State and a Big Monday trip to a top 5 Iowa State

  • Men's hoops avoiding a 2nd straight Big 12 loss for the first time in 2+ years with a not always easy win over TCU and a mostly east (14th straight win) over Cincy
  • Previewing a pair of challenging men's hoops opponents: a surprisingly good UCF team at home and a challenging roadie to top 25 BYU
  • A long awaited 1st Big 12 win for Matthew Mitchell and Cougar women's hoops
  • Previewing the 2026 Cougar softball season under 1st year HC Chrissy Schoonmaker

The boys are back, after a freezing weekend in the Lone Star state and large swaths of the country, Bobby and Sam return with only minimal cabin fever and a long list of Houston Cougar sports happenings to talk about from the week that was and will be:

  • Men's basketball loses a classic re-match on the road to Texas Tech, featuring an all-time great performance from Kingston Flemings. Also, looking ahead to a tricky roadie at TCU and a return home to face Cincy again.
  • Trying to put a happy face on the farce of Charles Bediako/James Nnaji playing college basketball & drafting our favorite past Cougar men's basketball alums to "join" the current season's team.
  • Checking back in with women's basketball as they search for their 1st Big 12 win, showing respectably in losses to K State and #14 Baylor, with a winnable home matchup with Cincy looming
  • Previewing the 2026 women's golf season with a senior-laden squad that has the potential to be one of the Big 12's best
