It feels like 2 days ago that we were here pawding about a new football coach, but there's so much going on in the world of Houston Cougar sports that the full compliment of co-hosts wouldn't dare miss talking about the following topics:

  • Willie Fritz won the opening press conference and we talked about things that caught our attention from the presser, plus: Fritz/staff contract talk, staff additions, and early portal talk
  • Cougar volleyball had an incredible final weekend of the 2023 season: comprehensively beating a very good UCSB squad and then giving #2 Stanford everything they could handle. We also look ahead to 2024 and beyond for David Rehr's program
  • Men's basketball passes its first road test over Xavier, overcoming overjudicious officiating and some offensive cold spells
  • We reevaluate women's basketball's start to 2023-24 after a disappointing 25-point home loss to Middle Tennessee
