We're back, and thank goodness we're talking about a Cougar victory over the Rice Owls, to extend the longest winning streak in Bayou Bucket history to 7 games. And yes, we did talk about some of the things we liked from Houston's 34-27 win. But we also didn't dance around some of the larger issues surrounding the football program. Basically, if you just won a rivalry game, and everybody from the head coach to the players to the fans seems to be frustrated, you might have some issues! So let's dig into those!
After giving the Rice game a thorough post mortem, including your #FourWordReviews, we also gave our thoughts on what was a wild, noteworthy week 4 of the college football season.
We're back and ready to face the nerds across town, as Houston and Rice face off for the Bayou Bucket. We talk about why the Cougars are and should be favored to take their 7th straight win over their cross-town rival, but why the Owls may not be the pushovers they've been previously under Mike Bloomgren.
Plus we're in a happy mood talking non-football Cougar fall sports! Cougar volleyball had an impressive close to non-conference play, and opened up their final AAC campaign with a road win, while Cougar soccer opened up conference play by beating reigning AAC champs USF! Not to mention UH women's golf opened their fall slate with an impressive showing from a trio of freshmen!
The 2022 Houston vs Kansas football game won't be one remembered positively by the UH faithful, but we sure did talk about it along with your Four Word Reviews and some week 3 college football thoughts.

If nothing else, we have quite the conflicting feelings about an eventful week that was and is to come in the world of Cougar sports, including the following topics:
For the second week in a row, the Houston Cougar football team went on the road against an in-state foe and saw the game go to overtime, this time with a decidedly less enjoyable end result. We're back talking the many weird through-lines from week 1 to week 2 for the Coogs, things we're officially concerned about after 2 games, and even the positives to take away from the defeat.
Plus we're talking everything week 2 in college football, from UT-Austin's almost-win, to A&M and Notre Dame suffering shocking and hilarious losses, to Scott Frost becoming the season's first coaching casualty, and which AAC teams impressed us.
We're back to review a heaping helping of Houston Cougar topics from the week that was and will be, including:

And speaking of treated, the Houston Cougar football team treated us to an exciting, frustrating and almost indescribable 3OT win over the UTSA Roadrunners in week 1 of the college football season. We look at how we got there and how we think the team played in its first 60 minutes of on field action.
Plus, four word reviews and week 1 CFB thoughts!

Plus for the first time this year we've got Houston Cougar victories to talk about, and in multiple sports! We're breaking down the wins for the volleyball and soccer programs, and the expectations for the coming week.
Not to mention, Cougar Cross Country is opening its campaign this week, and Cougar football picked up a couple of newcomers for 2023

For the pawd's (semi or so ) annual off topic episode, Sam brought on long time in real life friends, and friends of the show: Bobby and Bill to discuss the following topics from Formula 1 auto racing:
It was an exciting week in Cougar athletics, as men's track & field put together a top-20 team finish at Outdoor Nationals, and because Outdoor Nationals signified the final event of the 2021-22 Cougar athletics calendar. And since the past week also saw *official* confirmation that UH will be joining the Big 12 next summer, we are officially in our last off-season as a member of the American Athletic Conference. So we're back and we're talking track, and we're talking Big 12, and we're also talking baseball players in the transfer portal.
